Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, Bachelor of Science (Medical Biotechnology), Masters of Speech - Language Pathology, MSPA

Say hello to Alena, one of our passionate Speech Pathologists at Talking Happy Kids! With a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Technology Sydney, Alena brings both expertise and heartfelt dedication to her role.

Driven by her love for children and a desire to see them flourish, Alena was naturally drawn to speech pathology. For her, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a child's confidence grow as they find their voice and celebrating every communication milestone alongside their family.

Alena believes therapy works best when it involves everyone. Her approach is family-centered and holistic, meaning she looks at the whole child and collaborates closely with parents, caregivers, schools, and preschools. She operates within a neurodiversity-affirming framework, valuing every child's unique way of interacting with the world and focusing on their individual strengths.

Having worked across various settings, Alena has experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs, such as:

  • Challenges with speech planning (Childhood Apraxia of Speech - CAS)
  • Difficulties with speech sounds (Articulation and Phonological Disorders)
  • Delays or difficulties understanding or using language (Receptive/Expressive)
  • Helping 'late talkers' find their words and boost early language
  • Providing early intervention support for children under five

Alena is particularly passionate about supporting younger children through early intervention, knowing that timely support can make a world of difference during these formative years. She looks forward to connecting with your family and helping your child reach their communication potential.
